Notebook doesn't connect to anything outside your phone unless you choose to connect it to a cloud or something else. It lives privately on your phone.
Notebook keeps everything you write on your own device. It has no account, no
sign-in, and no server. Nothing you write is sent to me or to anyone else.
Everything you type — your entries, their dates, the notebooks you sort them
into, and your settings for theme, handwriting and text size — is saved in a
single file on your device.
That file never leaves your phone except through Apple's own backup, described
below.
Notebook has no code that connects to the internet. It does not:
The fonts the app uses are included inside the app itself. Nothing is
downloaded while you use it.
If you have iPhone backups turned on, iOS includes Notebook's file in your
backup, the same as it does for other apps. That backup goes to your iCloud
account or your computer, under Apple's control, not mine. I have no access to
it. You can turn this off for Notebook in **Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud →
Manage Storage → Backups**.
Deleting the app from your device deletes its file and everything in it. There
is no copy anywhere else, so this cannot be undone.
Notebook does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If a future version of Notebook does something different with your writing,
this page will be updated before that version is released.
